Wrinkle Free Distress with new Distress Inks

12 new fabulous colors of Ranger's Distress Ink Pads came in last week. I decided to use 3 of the new colors and do some "wrinkle-free distressing" on some ivory cardstock. I used Forest Moss, Crushed Olive and Stormy Sky. To do this technique, you need a Ranger Non-Stick Craft Sheet. Simply apply ink direct from the pad onto the craft sheet. 2-3 hits of each color is plenty. Now, in the "normal mode" you simply spritz with plain water, but I added a little gold Perfect Pearls to my mini mister and spritzed that onto the craft sheet. You then simply dab the cardstock piece repeatedly onto the ink and it will create a wonderful multi-color background. The Perfect Pearls adds a nice gold accent (which is not very visibly in the photo). I dried it (and used an iron to get it flat), then trimmed it to size and used it on my card. It is quick and easy - and the colors combinations are endless!

Loralie stamps!

Some of you may have seen this artist's work in other media - including fabric, but she has now put her talents into rubber! Loralie's ladies are fun, fun stamps - with all sorts of characters. A few are pictured here! Check out the display at the shop. We sold a few the first day they arrived. They make great cards to send to a girlie friend!

New Designs from Impression Obsession!

These fun cat and dog images just arrived from Impression Obsession!

This is a new artist for I-O and they are wonderful designs for the animal lovers out there. These are some samples of cards using the new designs - I took these pictures in the Impression Obsession booth at the CHA show.

We're going to be using these images in a class in April.

Smooch Marbled Paper

This is a GREAT technique that is simple and gives marvelous results. We're going to be making this card and another marbled card in the February Technique Junkies class. Come in for the class or a quick explanation. This is the easiest paper marbling technique I have ever tried - not nearly as messy as some that we have done in the past. the 3 Smooch colors I used in this sample were Molasses, Snickerdoodle and Siren.

Stamp Store Trash Becomes a Cat Toy!

Yes, you can buy all the expensive toys for your pets that you want, but what do they like? Items that are normally trash! One of my cats' favorite "toys" is the wax paper ribbon that comes off the price gun when we price merchandise. As you can see, Dora LOVES to play with this stuff.

New JustRite Oval Flower Sets Have Arrived!

The February JustRite oval florals have arrived! There are 2 sets - one called "Breath of Spring" and the other called Beautiful Blossoms" - each with 4 great flower images and borders. These fit the existing large oval stamper. We're going to be using these in some upcoming classes.

UltraFine Flower Soft JUST ARRIVED!

This is the first order from the show - and I was shocked when I saw the box waiting for me. The new UltraFine Flower Soft came in today! We have all of the new colors. I don't think I got all of them in the picture, as they were spread out all over the floor and I just picked up a selection. There are luscious colors such as Raspberry Fizz and Citrus Crush! I also ordered some of the box kits, as well. One is shown in this picture. We got a chance to see this product at the show and it is velvety soft!
