Spring Yard Sale date...

Stamped Designs will be holding a Spring Yard Sale on Saturday and Sunday - June 1st and 2nd.  We will only have items out on those 2 days and will be picking up the items after June 2nd.  This is where you can sell your items for Stamped Designs store credit.  We charge a $5 flat fee to get into the sale - you can bring in as many items as you wish.  When you register, you will get stickers with a unique code for your items.  Price your items and bring them to the store.  You can drop off items between May 18th and May 30th.  All left-over merchandise must be picked up by June 16th - any items remaining after June 16th become the property of Stamped Designs.  Stickers will be available for purchase starting on Thursday April 18th.

So, start cleaning out your stamping/scrapbooking area and look for items that you are interested in selling.  Please ensure that all items are in working order - paints and inks should not be dried out.

Where does time go?

Wow!  It has been almost a month since I posted to the blog!  Yikes!  I swear days are going by at warp speed these days.  I will try to be better about posting.

This card is a wonderful dogwood image from Impression Obsession.  Flowers always seem to be "go to" images - you can always use them.  For this card, I started with a kraft-like cardstock - it is called Fossil from The Paper Cut and in many ways, I like it better than a standard kraft stock.  First, I took the honeycomb background stamp (also from IO) and stamped it with VersaMark ink on the fossil cardstock.  Then I stamped the dogwood image in black VersaFine ink and colored it with Prosmacolor pencils - starting with white and then adding the pink accents for the flowers.  Add some ribbon and layers, and you have a wonderful card.
