Congratulations Graduate!

Yep, we're in the heart of graduation season, with most colleges having graduated recently and now we're getting into the swing of high school graduations.  Graduation cards for the guys always adds an extra element of difficulty.  For this card, I used a DP from Best Creation and then an image from Penny Black - this is a nice simple image that you can stamp on any color with any color, so you can customize it if you wish for your particular graduate.  Add some ribbon and a sentiment and you're all set!

Enjoy your day!

May Calendar Cat!

May features Dora with a wide ribbon wrapped around her head!  When you buy a box of chocolates at one of the local chocolate shops, they wrap the box in a nice ribbon - it is a favorite cat toy!  I took some DP and cut the lower edge with a wide scallop die, then punched a couple flowers with a daisy punch and added those to the page.
Enjoy your day and thanks for making us part of it!

Happy Mother's Day!

To all the mother's out there, I would like to wish you a Happy Mother's Day!  This is a card I made for my mom (okay, last minute, but it was done on time!).  A pretty simple card - done in some nice girly colors.  I started with a Penny Black flower image and colored it with Copics.  Layered it to Ivy Bazzill cardstock (one of my all-time favorite colors) and then a pink layer, backed with more Ivy.  I stamped the wording on a medium shade green, backed with more ivy and layered over a little ric-rac trim.  So moms, enjoy your day!

Ewe go girl!

I guess I never thought about the fact that this could be used for a graduation card, without even being an official graduation card.  I originally ordered the stamp for someone who was going through breast cancer.  Of course, like all good ideas, I never got the card made!  So, I was working on cards using the Action Wobble springs and thought that this little ewe would be perfect.  She is stamped and then colored with Copics, then cut out.  I layered her to a piece of DP where I inked only the words and grass from the image, then positioned her on the piece with the spring.  Add some embellishment and you're done!

As Smart as a Cat...

One of my nephew's is graduating from college this weekend.  I decided that the cats need to send along a card, as well.  I love this Kliban cat graduation image and figured it was purr-fect for the occasion.  The image is stamped with VersaFine ink on ivory cardstock and quickly colored with watercolor pencils and blender pen.  Layered up with some fun graduation paper and I added some ribbons to dress it up a bit.

Thanks for stopping by!

An A La Mode Holiday Card!

I don't know where the last 2 weeks went, but they are gone.  Just not enough hours in the day to get everything done.  This is a holiday card done with a fun holiday image from My Favorite Things.  I started with the image - colored with Copic markers, then cut out in an oval with a Spellbinders oval die.  Next I added a scalloped oval layer.  I used the zig-zag edgeabilities die with one of the newer inserts - added some dotted ribbon for accent and layered to a fun present background paper.  The snowflake is a Martha Stewart snowflake punch - and I used some Doodlebug glitter cardstock.  All-in-all, it creates a fun holiday card!  Christmas is closer than you think!
Thanks for your patience!
